Gintare & Mikael at Stockholm City Hall
An intimate Stockholm City Hall wedding, from preparations at Hotel Diplomat to the civil ceremony, warm embraces and a toast by the water.

The wedding story.
Gintare and Mikael’s wedding began with quiet preparations at Hotel Diplomat before they travelled to Stockholm City Hall for their civil ceremony. Their guests met them in the courtyard, then followed them through the building’s stone stairways and monumental rooms.
The photographs hold both the scale of the architecture and the closeness of the celebration: the anticipation before the ceremony, exchanged rings, applause at the doorway, embraces with guests, and a toast beside the water.
Inside City Hall, the tall window and stone colonnade offered two different settings for their portraits. The sequence then returns to their guests on the waterfront, keeping the architecture and the people together in the story.
